Last week he was surfing one of the standing waves on the Ottawa River and someone called 911 thinking he was drowning so they sent out a rescue for him.
Apparently 911 has had several calls about people in distress when really they're just surfing or kayaking the standing waves so they've now said "if bystanders continue to call 911, surfers believed to be in trouble could face a $4,000 fine for mischief." Pretty ridiculous.
It's been over the news a bunch and big debates are starting to happen about this.
