Ok so I found some pivot 14s for the price I want and I was going to buy them but the 115mm brakes are out of stock (I'm putting them on 174 devastators 105 waist) so should I get 95 and bend them out? I shouldn't go 130 right? It's such a good deal. What should I do?
When it gets to a 10mm of difference, you may run into trouble. Sure you can bend them out but when you clip in, the brake arms will flair out the side and too much bending may cause the arms to catch on your other bindings or another object. I would avoid that option. Brakes usually run around $45 and you could get lucky with a local shop that deals with Look/Rossi bindings that may have a spare set laying around.
Id bend the 95mm out a tab on each side, my fks 95s are closer to 100mm wide. You can always shave down the black plastic parts on the ends of the brakes for a few more mms.
If you can find FKS/Pivot brake assemblies for $45 as level9 suggested above, buy up, and PM me the link!
