GOOD ALTERNATIVE FOR SKIING IN SUMMER

hey guys, my hill just closed and im already missing skiing... I was wondering what u guys do in summer that replaces skiing, I like to skate which is what some guys do, whats something like skiing I can do in summer??

My cousins have a Malibu and because I'm pretty much their 5th child I spend a lot of time with them. They just bought a lake home near me so hopefully we can get out on the water a lot this summer. I really want to progress some before I leave in August so I can say I actually accomplished something this year.

1. penny trucks
2. skis
3. attach with screw or copper railroad spike (depending on transmission type)
4. Dim ski-truck-board as integer
5. Acquire square wheel
6. round round out on a lathe
7. repeat x4
7. use a metric banana to attach round-rolly-cubes to ski-truck-board
8. make an ass of yourself at a local skate park
9.?????
10. no profit

I don't think it needs a thread.. it's pennycruiser trucks and wheels mounted on skis...

If you want to make skateskis, you should relly not use trucks, blanacepoint is all wrong, and it's super hard to ride. But we made them for fun.

you want wheels in the middle, so that your balancepoint get right, on trucks you suddenly have 1 balance point on each ski, instead of between the skis.

I don't know, really.. But might try and make som new ones later.

I have a summer setup and a couple rails to hit, sometimes I even fill a kiddy pool with water and use the kicker on the setup to practice spins. I also skateboard a lot. I try to be out every day and I have to say that it does wonders for balance. After last summer skateboarding every day, when I got on skis rails were super easy because I had a lot of practice with balance. Additionally, boardslides especically help with rails on skis as well. Basically, it's good to do anything that can improve your balance and help maintain your athleticism because in the end, you'll be a lot better off if you do. Skateboarding is a great and fun way to do just that so I really reccomend it to you. The only problem with the sport is, if you fall at the park, it's going to likely hurt way more than your average fall on skis.

Check the skateskis they have in one of the Woodward videos. It looks like they just have a few wheels but the wheels are all directly in the center of the ski in a rectangular cutout.

yea when i start having withdrawal symptoms from skiing i go rollerblade, as a hockey player its even more dope cos you train for that aswell
Also practicing air tricks in the skatepark helps so damn much for skiing, if you land new tricks on blades you can be sure to land them on skis during pre-season ski sessions
other than that dh biking, tramp, and cliff diving

Indoor skiing. I just reshaped the whole setup at my home spot. Bigger setup is coming in some weeks. Best and cheapest way for me to ski in summer!
