JosephRikysCould have a very small tear. Get a MRI. If its just a small tear you should be able to ski the season and decide in what to do after.
HP123Ok so I sucked it up and got an Mri about a month ago, sure enough it was a partial tear in my acl. The doctor said they do surgery if it's torn more than 50% otherwise they just let it be and that's the case for me. He said it's cool if I kept skiing on it and I did now I'm a couple weeks off the slopes and it still hurts like shit. The actual injury happened at the end of February. I dunno if I made it worse or not but its still really annoying. Should I get a second opinion on it? Do I just rehab the hell out of it (I'm trying to stay super active working and biking and skating)? Will i prob end up tearing it completely? I feel like it's too late now to get surgery and I'll be out for next season so I'm kind of fucking pissed and I don't know what to do about it. Any advice would be great thanks

HP123Thanks for the feedback everyone. Looking back I should've seen the doctor way sooner. It's been over 4 months and still bothering me. I realize it takes longer for ligaments to heal so I'll give it more time. Supposed to climb rainier with the pops and brother in September so hopefully it's feeling alright by then. I feel like the probability of it tearing fully is high so I probably should just get the surgery but I want to be active this summer and summit rainier in September and ski all of next season so I guess I'll take my chances. If I could go back I would've seen doctor right away and stopped skiing instead of finishing season. Knee injuries are stupid arrrgh.
