Help us make a crazy set of skis

Helo NS, TBK Ski co. is new ski company out of portland oregon.

Basically we are making 5 different ski models, all of which are park skis. 4 of which will be designed to the likings of our crew members.

The last model will be based on the craziest shit you guys can come up with, and we will just do what he have to, to make them rideable.

just about anything goes

ie.:
grind slots under foot
blow holes
plastic cores
metal bases w/built in edges
tripe camber
fish tails
crazy graphics
cup holders
pink fur topsheets
built in pipe
...you name it


we will post pictures of the production, and finished product, as well as videos of us using the finished product.


after the skis are made we will give away the 5 pairs we make in a raffel.

give us what youve got..

Take away edges completely. Make the entire sidewall of the ski be its edge so that way it is impossible to break an edge, or have it come out of the ski.

Loving your guys's ideas, some design concepts will be up soon. keep posting this is going to be awsome!

Since you all seem to be having fun with this, we will make the first run with 5 different ski designs (all crazy as fuck), and then after we will put out a new set every month (year round) just like every third thursday, only you guys pick the designs!

fab02Anti rocker: Make a ski with an ultra chamber. And the tip-tail height should be max. 3cm.

This. The only part of the ski I want touching the ground are the tips and tails- like riding an arched bridge around. It would be dope for rails.

make a base that never needs to be waxed. or edges that never crack. that would be sumthin. or a ski that had a shovel in it.

or skis that have brakes so i can finally slow down

make it out of wood so its like a skateboard

Make a ski with a rounded shape base like a U
Make a ski that is all metal on the base

Make a ski that had double or quadruple
rocker/camber so it would look like a WW shape so it goes rocker/camber/rocker/camber/rocker. It's hard to visualized but it would be wack as fuck and really funny

Okay here's what you gotta do:

-Super fat ski, I'm talking like 150x125x150, its gotta be symmetrical being a park ski and all.
-Stupid amount of rocker, like there contact point is going to be something like 6-10" down the ski from either tip.
-Make them noodles, combined with the super rocker everyone in the park should hear you drop into your nose butter to double cork to landing in a tail press.

Basically a symmetrical pow ski that's too soft for pow but makes the perfect spreading surface for dishing out butter all over the park.

Beginner version is the shotski/smokeski. Then you graduate to the shootski/blowski that has a needle on one and a mirror and razorblade on the other.

-A wide park ski, like around 108-120 waist- but light.
-flat underfoot with wakeboard style 3 stage rocker(surface's 3 stage rocker creates insane pop) or a hybrid style 3 stage rocker(more of a blend of 3 stage and normal rocker) not giant rocker, but similar to hellbents, so still pretty big.
-symmetrical flex, sidecut and rocker
- stiff underfoot, medium tip and tail, with a "butter zone" similar to the invaders/afterbangs at the rocker point tricky part here would be making them not want to fold, if they could flex really easy initially, but stiffen up substantially the more they flex, that would be ideal. too soft of skis make buttering really hard, they just give out, so having a butter zone that gets you into the butter easy and predictably, then having a stiff enough flex that gives you some platform to hold it and pop out of your butters, would be perfect.
-super subtle, surface/bentchetler style tips and tails

make skis with wheels in the bottom that way when you're done skiing all you have to do is literally roll out to your car on your skis...but they still have to be able to perform well in the snow...im just trying to picture a
50-50 on a really long box on these skis...that would be golden just rollin the whole way done the box lol

Make skis with snow cone makers on the tips and dustbusters on the tails, then closed loop that shit so we can ski when there's no snow out.

Oh, and we need reverse cycle for switch.

Put some disco LED lights in the core of the ski and have a clear coat over the top. ON/OFF switch and battery slot required. Would make for some gnarly night skiing. Kinda like the lightsuit skiing video but the skis would be lit up from the inside and shine through the clear topsheet.

Seriously. All they have to show for is a website that claims they're going to make 'Botique park skis', and then it provides an Instagram handle which has but only 2 topsheet graphics... I hate to sound like a jaded dick but the ski industry has seen way too many shitty ski manufacturing pipe dreams in the last 2 years, and right now that's all I'm seeing here.
