QUESTION ABOUT POW SKIS HELP ME FAM
yes i used search bar no help on this
i just got my first set of pow skis and i was curios what the best place to mount them is.
i was thinknig an inch back from center, but i wanna hear what the ski fan has to say about mounting my pow skis
i plan to be hitting some back country jumps with these and landing switch, idk if thats a factor or not. \
HELP ME OUT FAM
Mounted my bent chetlers at factory recommended, I think it's 2.5 behind center
10 south represent
You don't want to go too close to center on powder skis unless you are looking for a pow jib ski that you want to use backwards as much as forwards. Having them mounted too far forward will make it so you have to always lean back in order to maintain flotation, and it will feel like you are dragging the tails through the snow like an anchor. I would go with the recommended mount position so that you are engaging the shape of the ski the way it was designed to.
Eric Pollard goes 2 cm back, but I find with rocker that mounting center works good for me. Some might not agree but center mount is the way to go in my opinion.
Factory center, thats the way to go, center you will be head over heels tomahawking every other turn and too far back will have you back slapping for days off cliffs. Factory center is the best for all around. True center is really only necessary in park.
YOOO THANKS FAM
