I don't have a lot of money to spend this year on travelling for skiing, and my home resorts are terrible. what are some cheap places to ski?? (lift ticket, lodging, etc.)
I live in Manitoba BTW
Canada? fernie and red are cheaper, I am a Washington skier myself and the cheapest around is either alpental or snoqualmie, they definitely aren't the best. The cheapest and best in Washington is probably Stevens Pass, baker or bachelor. If you are a college student, then you can use that to your advantage for a season pass discount. Lodging is never cheap and sleeping in your car is the best bet or bumin it with friends near by works too. You can always look up rates at near by mountains online... A wonderful tool at your fingertips...
Its a bit of a trip for you, but Red Lodge mountain is one of my favorites of all time. Super cheap, somewhere between mom and pop and major resort. the snow can be phenomenal, but its nickname is rock dodge so obviously it isn't always stellar.
Sliver mountain in Idaho can be really fun too. Pretty reasonable and the gondola village is a cool area. I haven't been there in a few years, but the park was always fun while I rode there.
