I'm buying a pair of Rossi soul 7's, and was wondering if i should go for the WTR 13 or 16, as the prices are the same. I know the WTR 16 has more metal in it, but it's also heavier. Im 6'5 and around 165 pounds. I don't want to lose the ski nor break a leg. My everyday din is 7-8, and at the moment i do not expect it to ever exceed 10 (at least not 13). Do i want to be in bottom or middle end of the binding's din scale?
Not entirely sure, but I believe the entire toe piece on the 16 is metal, while only the wings and front of the toe piece are metal on the 13. As for the binding that suits you, if you think you're going to put on more weight, go for the 16. Otherwise, the 13 would be perfect.
Gerome.I thought the 13 and 16 were the same binding just a different spring. Can anyone confirm if the 16 has more metal?
I literally just did in the post above you. The toe piece's main pillar and base plate is metal on the 16 (though the lower afd base piece is plastic on both 13 and 16).
13's toe has plastic in the toe's pillar. Still plenty durable, goos for lighter weight guys
