Thank you all for coming. It's sad to see that our beloved friend the NSG has passed away at the age of 14. An autopsy has shown that the NSG died due to over censorship, and a overly authoritarian environment.

We will share our favorite moments we had with the NSG.

If you call the same stupid, irrelevant, useless reply to good threads being deleted "censorship"....then I'm all for it. Honestly, NSG died a long time ago, every thread has and OP's mom joke or a "this thread is now..." attempt within the first 5 posts, I get it when the thread is dumb, but when it happens to legitimate threads, it's sad.

He was just pointing out a stupid thread, which makes sense... The thread he linked made zero sense. That doesn't contribute anything to NSG. I'll have to say most threads in NSG are pretty good, but then there are just plain old stupid threads that should be nuked from the internet. I've been post whoring non ski gabber for like 6 years now, Id like to say i've seen the good and bad. That light bulb thread is definitely a bad. That's all he was gettin at. I think.

Meh...to each their own I guess. I just find that in order to find something interesting, or hell even ACTUALLY funny, not just fucking stupid, you have to sift though too much shit. To be honest, if Mods and Admins are cracking down on it too much, maybe you guys should take it as a sign to actually contribute to a conversation in a constructive way once in a while. I mean, I used to go into NSG a lot years ago, sure there was the same bullshit of people saying "pee in her butt" or "this thread is now about pokemon"...but those same people would post in a legit thread in a constructive way more than they would attempt to ruin threads. It just seems to me that people are just trying to ruin threads for no real reason.

But there's no creativity in the way it's being done...it's all the same shit. "I fucked OP's mom" in EVERY thread is not creative, it's fucking boring. Sure, when it happens once in a while to a thread that is clearly going no where, awesome...but be original about it, not the same crap.

I mean, he has a point. I don't think I've ever made an OP's mom joke, because they really aren't that funny. Nobody was posting about OP's mom a few years ago, not to sounds cliche or anything, but a few years ago trolling used to be pretty funny on here. It still is, but most of the dildo and mom jokes are pretty lame.

NSG threads that were actually good:

-ECB + his cousin

-bang her like a hammer

-guize im making a skiing game

etc.

And none of these threads had an OP's mom joke. I only agree with some of the new rules. No more hating is sorta lame, if you can't handle getting bashed over the internet, you shouldn't be on it.

Hating is open to interpretation...I mean there's a difference between bullying and obvious joking with your friends. The way I look at it, if it's something your friend or a coworker would get pissed at you for, you probably shouldn't say it. Or even better...if EHeath would say it, it's open season, haha.

I guess it'll come down to the mod's discretion. For example, if I see it as abusive or hateful, it's gone, if it's "justifiable" (again...if eheath would say it) then it'll probably stay. I use Evan as an example because he's the most level headed asshole on this site. And, I mean that in a good way...he knows when bashing is appropriate and when it's going too far.

Yeah but the thing is I don't feel like testing the waters. If I get banned one more time I'm done for good, it was easier before the new rules (this morning) because all I had to do was make sure I don't say any racial or homophobic slurs. Sometimes I get into political shit-storms or what-not on here and I don't notice when I start to be an ignorant douche. I just don't wanna get banned is all. Skiierman used to tell kids to kill themselves and stuff like that and the mods sort of encouraged it, newbs need to be put in their place sometimes haha.

With new rules generally comes leniency with warnings. If you find a lot of your posts being deleted and you're getting PMs to tone it down, maybe it's time to tone it down.

then there is one prude mod because one of my comments was removed earlier this weeks and it literally only was girls suck.
