p.hawksIt is bad enough for you to want to do rehab, but not to the point of seeing someone (Dr or PT), and it doesn't hinder you from your job? I would say try light stretching and see if there is anything in particular that aggravates it. Hopefully it is a mild sprain in which case you need to just lay off it for a little, let it heal, and then stretch to improve your range of motion.
louie.miragsDefinitely continue to ice it and rest it for a few weeks. Knee problems suck when ski season returns.
McLSThanks, what kinda stretches should i do? And i would love to see a doc, really, but im at work non stop from 7 am to 9pm everyday so thats unfortunately not an option...
p.hawksReread the first post, I was half alseep earlier. Is the pain more outside or inside? And it could be something that was put in compression or something with cartilage also (there are a lot of things that can cause knee pain). Either way, the more specific you can be on what causes pain, the better (eg, jumping, lateral, bearing weight, etc.). Also, what is your time frame? This can affect whether it is better to rest or exercise. If it isn't too far away, I wouldn't want you to make it worse doing exercise, which is potentially easy to do because you don't know what's wrong.
McLSThanks for taking the time to answer dude! about work, i sell hamburgers in a truck in the middle of nowhere pretty much (im living at my grandparent's house for now) and dont actually know any doctors too. Ill try to go see one tho, but my fear is that he ll tell me not to go skiing, which i just cant do xD
As for the pain it feels more inside and im pretty sure its a sprain from what i felt at the injury. Im scared too of exercising and making it worse but i guess this is as much help i can get without a doc...thanks a lot doe!
YourboybangsI tore my patella like 3 times over the course of a year, had a great sports therapist tho and helped me make a decent recovery(proper healing). Make sure you do proper physio if there actually is a problem, i'd say since youre a skier try and see a sports medicine person!
