Apple stops development of Aperture
I'm sure some of you already know, but I figured that I could share. Apple is officially dumping Aperture, except for updating it to OS Yosemite. Personally I love the workflow in Aperture, but I'll have to look into Lightroom.
The official statement: “With the introduction of the new Photos app and iCloud Photo Library, enabling you to safely store all of your photos in iCloud and access them from anywhere, there will be no new development of Aperture,” said Apple in a statement. “When Photos for OS X ships next year, users will be able to migrate their existing Aperture libraries to Photos for OS.”
Also, I read somewhere on reddit that Apple plans on working with Adobe to make a program for migrating libraries to LR.
