So I just started doing 3s and I noticed that it always feels like I'm falling off axis no matter how hard I try to lean forward. Could this be because my bindings are not close enough to the center? They are not center mounted I don't remember where they are but it's like 5 cm back or something like that. Would remounting them help or am I doing something wrong and just don't know it? Sorry if wrong forum didn't know which one to post in...
same deal here but for smaller jumps ive never had a problem. ive havent done a 3 off a bigger jump yet. but my daily driver is race type all mtn ski, and its mounted at whopping -11, but they are extremely light so thats probly why im not having any problems. so i always just stay way forward in my boot and concentrate on getting my noses all the way around 360. my pow boards are mounted -6 with marker barons and i have the same problem, i always get of axis.(probly because the pow boards are a lot heavier)
it'll help to be mounted up higher for park stuff but no that's not the reason youre falling. pressure your shins into your tongues, flex your core, and don't lean back
But pull your feet/toes up to keep your tips up. It might be helpful to go for a slightly forward safety grab to get into the habit of bring your tips up.
Last tip is to pop then spin you try to spin while you're on the takeoff it can cause you to go on weird rotations.
