Phil-X-I completely understand what youre saying Thizzle, but what youre saying is also indefinitely racist. Connecting an entire race with personal individualistic drug use is unreasonable and unacceptable.
Sure, you may face discrimination because of your race (hell, Ive even been discriminated against because im 100% polish, 1st gen American w/ dual citizenship. Neither of my parents can speak fluent english and during my youth I had a speech impediment from learning polish prior to english.) but thats not a choice.
Drug usage is a choice. It doesnt matter if youre more exposed to a different culture or drug. Smoking a crack pipe or snorting a fat line is a conscious decision someone makes.
Seriously, it blows my mind that people say crack is a race specific drug. What the hell does that even mean? Crack, Coke, Meth, Weed etc. are all illegal. How can you possibly place blame??
Im a person, youre a person, gato is person, every damn human is am equal person. We all have the ability to make decisions; if someone was going to force you to smoke crack you can end communication with them and report them them to the police. "Oh but Phil! No one would do that, thats unreasonable!" WHY!?
Every person living in this country has access to the same resources.
You think I havent had the opportunity to do crack or meth or coke or weed or RXs or steroids or opiates?
You think I havent had close friends say "duddee commmon, I wont even charge you on this fentanyl"?
Even if you try any of the above it doesnt change the fact that YOU ARE CHOOSING to abuse that substance.
Basic economics. Supply. Demand.
This area doesnt want crack?
no ones gonna sell crack.
This areas gonna want crack?
People will smoke crack, and people will sell it.
Glue and other inhalants are abused like crazy by slavs, I know a ton of Poles that huff. I've been offered nitrous and many other inhalants countless times. Have I ever done it? Fuck no. I've been called a pussy, a chicken, a bitch... so? Mother fuckin free will.
Whats the issue? They know damn well its illegal. They know its damn well addictive. They know damn well what charges they can face. They know the risk.....
The only reason anyone connects it with race is because of the statistics. I'm going off the top of my head here and don't wanna go back and read the stats again but it was something like 75-80 percent of posession of crack cocaine to sell cases were blacks, while about 10 or so were Latinos... It's a simple fact and not racist to say that crack cocaine is a drug used almost exclusively by black and brown low income neighborhoods, and this was known at the time these laws were put in place.
And no, every living person in the country does NOT have access to the same resources. Resources cost money. Poor black kids growing up in the ghetto don't have money and are more likely exposed to the crack game at a much younger and impressionable age than a middle class white male is exposed to a life of drugs and crime.
It is reasonable to say that most of us have the same decision making capabilities, but the avg cocaine user/seller vs the average crack user/seller come from drastically different environments.
