I was offered a couple lenses for a trade on an old ipod and I'm wondering what you're thoughts on them (Value, quality, etc) were.
Olympus 4/3-14-42mm f3.5-5.6
Olympus 4/3-40-150mm f4-5.6
Looking for insight on both photography and videography uses or just details on the lenses.
Both are essentially useless. They are for 4/3, the precursor to micro 4/3. They only work on outdated olympous DSLRs, and they only cover a 4/3 sensor (1/4 of a 35mm sensor). They can be used on m43 with an adapter, but this isn't worth it. The adapter costs more than the lenses are worth, and they aren't very good lenses. They are the Olympus version of the infamous canon kit lenses. The adapter was mostly made to use nice ones like the f2 zooms on m43 so that those who invested the thousands of dollars they cost weren't totallty ignored. So overall, don't take the deal.
