If your serious about getting into skiing, find a pair of boots that fit well, get footbeds in them and go from there. Boots are the hard part. Skis are cheap and easy to find.
The main reason Im stressing boots first is they are the most important part of skiing.
Here's a recent thread on why you should get boots with footbeds.
But if you already got boots need a little more information. Your height, weight, (already established your beginner), more in the park or allmnt,Rocker or traditional, pow or trees?
Already have some ideas seeing your gonna be in Montana I assume.
