Smith Holt

I'm seeing the Smith Holt 2011 helmet for like 25$ online. Good park helmet? from what it looks like this is a good deal, anyone have any input?

Honestly, Ive had mine for a number of years now and it has held up great. The only thing to consider is that it fits big and is very heavy.

Its a solid helmet, super light weight but gets the job done! $25 is a steal, pretty much cant go wrong at that price!

I think you are referring to the Smith Maze, which is Smith's lightweight helmet. The Holt is not a brick house, but it carries more weight than the average helmet. Sorry for the confusion OP.

the holt looks a bit bulbous on the sides when looking from the front. The maze has a far sleeker design and is also more lightweight. I know mazes go for 40-50 depending on where you find them but it's worth the extra 20 bucks or so.

I had the Holt and it looked like a big fuckin melon but it was a decent helmet and saved my head many times. The Bern Macon is my go to helmet now and I can also use it for longboarding so it's pretty versatile.

The holt has a round fit compared to the poc bug. Switched to the holt this year and it fit my huge round shape head much better than my poc receptor bug did. To me the bug had a elongated shape fit than the holt.

Hope you can take that and get a idea of how the fit is on the holt.
