I'm making a ski movie and just found out that I'm not allowed to us my school's computers over the summer for editing. Please check out this Kickstarter Campaign and consider making a pledge, I won't be able to finish this movie without your help!
$5000 to make an edit? Thats more than double the cost of my macbook pro in august 2011, which has more than enough power to make an edit. You could get a used or new desktop with a 24" 1080p monitor, 2.1 speakers, and a ton of hard drive space for under $1000 and that still would have more than enough power. Why not have posters for like $35-$50 or something reasonable like that, or give the option if like bronze, silver, and gold sponsor level credit for $25, $50, and $100 respectively? I'm sure you could find a few neighbors, friends, and or shop owners who think it would be really cool to be involved in this if you try.

Watched the trailer and actually looks fairly good. But, 5 grand is way out of proportion. Most desktops these days that carry the necessary software are half that if not less. Would love to help out but you're fishing with a dull hook.
