Convincing Mt.Hood

So I'm going out to Bend Or. this summer and after I really want to go to Mt.Hood and ski for a few weeks, my dad is on board but my mom thinks its too dangerous or whatever to spend time away from colorado alone, what are some ways I can convince them to let me go,

Maybe get some friends who would also want to do it that your mom trusts. But you said you live in CO, so why not just ski at Copper?

maybe i'm just a washed up old square, but your mother is right. you should not go camp alone at hood at 17. there's a 10% chance you die in a mini van fire. 20 % chance you get stabbed by HCSC diggers. 30% chance you get raped by danimal in his carhouse. 40% chance you get salmonella from the Taco Shoppe. 50% percent chance ben the walrus kills you on the skibowl zipline. 60% chance you you fall into a meth lapse and aren't seen again until you're 45. 70% chance some dirty hippy convinces you to swim in little crater lake and your skin melts off.

If you can actually ski, just say if they trust you to go to Oregon alone, and to your local hill a lot, why can't you ski somewhere else?

at least you arent in vt. ive thought about but then i realized its too expensive and my car would not make it. alas i am stuck here with no snow
