There Will Be Blood


I felt like it was the kind of movie that might have gotten great reviews. Checked online after and the reviews are nothing but excellent. Very highly but honestly it sucked. I'd give it two stars because of Daniel Day Lewis's solid and the cinematography but the movie was still bad.

What else you got? I'll probably remember a bunch of others but I just watched that a couple days ago.

I fucking loved There Will be Blood.



The Counselor(2013) - Camerion Diaz, Michael Fasbender, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt. Super cool concept, super cool production and cinematography, and certain details were really cool. HOWEVER the script may have been wirtten by helen keller. It was so, so, so bad that even that cast and that production level couldnt come close to saving it.

Really very disappointing.

I don't think avatar sucked that bad.... At least it had a story, even if it was way too long.

Hangover 2 was shit, and I fucking hated Gravity. Other than that I haven't really watched many movies that I haven't liked, but that said I tend to read about the movie a bit first and read reviews to see if I'll probably like it. Works most of the time :)

I feel like avatar drug out way too long. If they would've shortened it up by a good half hour/ forty five minutes it would've been fine.

Ya, they're making a second movie soon though. From what I've seen it's supposed to come out around 2016. The first movie took forever to film and put together so I'm not surprised about the scheduled 7 year wait until number 2.

The Good Shepherd with Matt Damon. Just dragged on so much
Rushmore. Liked Wes Andersen's other films a lot more. Just couldn't get on board this one

i thought that movie was pretty funny

saw noah yesterday, heard it was good but the plot was stupid

requiem for a dream really confused me, just a bunch of addicts and their lives going downhill and no story imo

I had a hunch Anchorman 2 would suck, and it did. It was like the first movie (which I love) but just.... 76027 times crappier. Like the anchor fight, it was just embarassing in this ons. The jokes were shit and the plot was shit.

Haha some people recommended Black Sheep to me, saying how funny it was. No.

Avatar - space Pocahontas/Fern Gully. If you are going to take 15 years to make a movie, have an original plot.

Anchorman 2 - terrible, but I wasn't expecting much

Bourne movies - I read the books first and they are way better than the movies. The one resemblance between the two is the Jason Bourne has amnesia. I like the movies, but not when comparing them to the books.

People love Requiem for a Dream, but I thought it was absolutely terrible.

Terrible sense of aesthetics and it played out like a 2 hour DARE advertisement. It was quite obvious Aronofsky had no idea about the subject matter of his film.

The Matrix - when I finally got around to watching it, which was like 5 years after it came out, people had hyped it so much and then I watched it and was so unimpressed. it was awful.

The Wolf of Wall Street - it wasn't terrible, but I wasn't impressed by it and frankly, Leonardo di Caprio did a great job, but I didn't think it was his best.

The Hobbit - it had good parts but it was so childish...too childish.

watched it on netflix till they started spray painting "wolverines" everywhere. at that point i just turned it off. it was beyond terrible at that point.
Also, thats drake and josh kid is a terrible actor..he should have stayed on teen nick

people talk about boondock saints like it's some amazing piece of art, that shit SUCKED and so do you if you liked it

i agree with there will be blood. acting and cine was fuckin AMAZING but that is the extent of it

avatar was amazing visually and technically but as said, if youre going to make an epic like that, the least you could do is provide a plot that hasnt been done several times

5th element- saw it. sucked.

You have neon everything, the ground turns neon, the trees turn neon, plats that turn neon and spin around and then fly away, neon jelly phish floating around the theater, people getting on dragons and flying around a neon world.


Other than a mediocre predictable plot the movie was awesome. Ate a couple hits of some L I'd been saving and went to see it in the Imax. My friends bailed so I had to go alone. waiting in line a little drunk from the beers I drank on the cab ride to ease the come up. Got stuck like 15 people deep in one of the upper rows. Unfortunately I had to piss midway through to the point it was fucking with my trip. Went out did the damn thing but then coming back into a theater with a ton of people all staring at you with neon yellow sunglasses is a little intense. The war crap at the end was def a buzzkill. Also couldn't find the taxi to get back to my friends after for a good idk time but a while.

They should have made a sequel called "Avatar 2, no bullshit just neon things and stuff"

I have no problem with slower movies. Hell I watch 12+ hour documentaries for fun sometimes. I just thought the plot was mediocre at best. The character of eli sunday was useless in developing the plot and a god chunk of that movie pivots around those two characters and their "epic" conflict.
I thought the movie started out better than it ended. After the first hour it went down hill.

Just my errrpinions though. I know just about everyone gave great reviews about that movie.

I forgot that they were going to be making more. Fuck. All that money I spent on counseling to forget was wasted.

We can put it on the list but I doubt at least I HOPE that it won't be over hyped. I feel like most people thought the last 3 sucked.

I hope that somehow it can improve and who knows, I might actually go and see it in theaters. Probably not though.

if you watch it for what it is, a fun action and adventure movie, it is pretty good. if you watch it expecting fight club i can see it being a let down.

The Avengers sucked and I honestly do not understand why anyone likes it. The action was lame, all the characters except Iron Man sucked (and that's because Iron Man is the only Marvel super hero with decent movies) and the plot was dumb (they couldn't even come up with a new villain for it). The only things keeping this movie from being worse than Avatar was a bigger cast and Scarlett Johansson.
