i too would like to learn to blade. Would you say it is harder or easier than skateboarding? Im sufficient at skating so i was wondering if blading was much harder. It definitely seems more fun

rollerblading is definitely way easier to learn than skateboarding. until you get to super advanced tricks, then it's kind of like you either have the balls to use a couple inches of space to spin into a grind on one foot down a big handrail or you don't. don't just do skiing tricks too. getting started is like getting started in any 'action' sport, watch some vids and try it.
