Water Ramps

i did this when i was at whistler this past week, it is so much fun, for sure a different experiance, but it was so freakin cold, most people use wet suits and we didn't. The pool has a heater but the pool leaks so they have to keep pumping glacier water into it.

i just got back from water ramping. do it like 2 times a week. going to placid in 2 weeks. was on tv and will be in paper . both in 1 week! ha.!

I saw some pictures of the water ramps at sms camp but they r pretty bad(the pictures) and i was wondwering what they were like. IN the picture i saw they looked MASSIVE is this true or is that just the picture and are they really that helpfull in learning new tricks?

i just got back from SMS, and i really didnt like the water ramps. mostly cause they are arial jumps that go up at a real high angle. plus it sucks if u loose a ski, cause, thy dont float. and swimming with ski boots on is not exactly fun.

what are yuo on man, you dont hit the areal jumps in whistler, the ones youi hit have like no invertedness to them, if your good on jump 4 and step it up to jump 1 the jump is big but still not to much of an areal jump. and if you loose a ski you take your boots off and swin down to get the ski, i really doubt you hit the water ramps just from the way your post sounds.

4 is so easy, but if you do lose a ski it so sucks. i didn't but my friend did, but we were all numb from the cold cause we werent wearing wet suits so it really didn't matter

the newest trend in water ramping is carve up water ramping.... you guys should try it sometime, and once you get that mastered you need to work on opposite carve water ramping.

give it a shot and you might be able to go pro!

hahaha, there is no way you can turn on the those mats without killing yourself, if you don't go straight your going to get hurt. One of the guys that works at the water ramps and knows what he is doing broke his arm accidently catching an edge on those mats. He did it on the easyist one too.

the water ramps are the way to go. i do inverted aerials, just started freeride, and spent all my summers at the one in utah the kick ass.

Those water ramps are sweet. Its so fun floating a trick on #1. At HN we used those snowboard leashes so the skis never sunk to the bottom, fucking life savers.

yeah...just get the old school saftey straps...you know before skis had breaks...use those so you dont lose skis
