Correct me if I'm wrong.... but there is nothing significant that has been produced for use by the Oculus Rift thus far. The costs of producing a product to be used with the Rift is not going to be cheap.

How can they fuck-up something that isn't even on the market yet? The worst they could possibly do is never release it for sale. With the funding Facebook has, I'm confident they'll be able to make this way sicker than Oculus ever could.

this overpaying for potential is really stupid. like skype got sold for several billions although the company had a turnover of something in the six digits.

its like maybe you ruin it or it works for you but both options are better than having someone else have it

i already said its stupid, what do you mean?

people need to wake up and realize that just because some crazy dude pays a huge amount for whatever, it doesnt mean that its actually WORTH that much.

you could say there is a high-tech startup bubble going on with big companies like microsoft, google, facebook and so on overpaying for at best solid contributions just to counter some move made by others.

i mean, google goes with this glass thing, facebook goes in this direction. all will probably fall flat on their noses and open up the door for the next big thing.
