Of course it's fake but I still think the idea is awesome. I've been wasting my trolling on forums. I need to take it to where the whole intranets can see and share across the facebook.

well google earth provides coordinates of wherever you are, in this case where the SOS was found. it would have been way more practical to bring the kit and drop it where the SOS was just out of chance the person there was still alive, rather than scouting, then switching planes

So fake and gay. Google earth was launched in 2001 yet the event was said to have happened in 2007. At the end of the story the lady says she has never heard of Google earth meaning
A)The lady lived under a rock before she was stranded on an island
or
B)The story is fake as fuck.

while we are at true stories, i worked 36 years in search and rescue for google earth and that is exactly how it works.

in the package is basically a little bit of salt to lure in wild goats, a pink barbie walkie-talkie with around one bar of battery (to really promote urgency) and a shower gel so these hobos can clean themselves up before they are even close to our pickup plane.

The point wasn't to be funny, it was to troll the fuck out of people. It could have been done much better but the concept was solid. Beyond that it was slacking but still good enough to get shared across facebook and get a bunch of people to be like "OMG THAT'S AWESOME"

I need to come up with stuff that caters to more people. Now I know that people love hope, and rescue. I'm hittin the drawing boards.
