The next big trick

As we all know, Skiing has progressed tremendously in the past few years; Triple cork 10, dub cork 7, you name it. But what is the next big thing, besides the obvious quad, future spins etc.?

I personally believe that it will a combination of two or more tricks, imagine a rodeo 5 to misty 5 or something. Is that even possible? I think it is.

Any thoughts? Predict the future NS!

Doubles out of canon boxes/rails in slopestyle comps. I know the trick has been done before, but I don't think ever in a slopestyle comp

ABM did that completely by accident, he mis-judged it and took it to low and got flipped around but his air awareness got him to his feet

Video? I'm so pissed about the he lack of hype behind JOI, seriously, barely any coverage and I didn't remember seeing that in any if the recap vids.... What pisses me off is that new tricks are being done and tried but there isn't video of it.

It'll pop up eventually, 10 years ago new tricks were being thrown every damn week and their wasn't video of it all.

And JOI isnt a comp that deserves much hype anymore IMO, why is it any cooler than Nine Knights? It isn't which is why it barley get coverage on here. Its a big jump and triples, with that being the extent of the creativity. How much more mind boggling can another big jump contest be, when there are already so many, and those without invite.

Unless JOI changes back to JOSS, or something new and different, i see it being the last year or two for JOI.

It's just that the JOI jump is one of the best built in the world, which encourages the riders to try tricks that can't be done on most jumps. It's not "just" a big jump and triples, JOI gave birth to the double cork 7 and many more unconventional tricks- i mean, there's a lot of creativity that can be done in the air, it's just that it doesn't really get the chance to flourish because most skiers don't spend all their time on 95ft jumps. Comps like frostgun, nine knights, and JOI put new tricks into skiing. I'm not saying that JOI is superior, just criticizing the lack of hype behind these contests, seriously give them more credit.

eh I don't know since Frej anything new, more just crazy if you get what I mean. It's all been tried, just it's bigger and better

For sure, at least frostgun brought the sacred triple cork 10 to the table. Also I think lazy boy doubles were introduced by joi but not completely sure. Only arguing for the competitions because it's fun to watch the insanity that goes down in them, stuff that I could never even dream of doing...
