Skis are weird

Not sure if this is truly an SG topic or not, but I own a pair of Ace of Spades and a pair of APO Kai Pro's. I have been using the Kai pro's for this season, but yesterday I pulled out my Nordica's.
When I hit a rail, I noticed that the Nordica's gripped the rail much better and I was more stable on the features. It felt like it was more difficult to slip off a feature which was something that interested me and felt very weird even though the sidecut of these skis aren't too different (86 underfoot/87 underfoot). I am not sure what to think of this or even why and how it happens. What I am wondering is if anybody knows what makes this happen. I can understand stability on jumps, but I never thought I would get that feeling on rails.

I am not wondering this from lack of experience. Both skis are tuned properly and have been through a lot.

Also forgot to mention that I am advanced in park expert everywhere else so people dont ask those kind of questions.

All of my skis are properly tuned including base waxing before every trip to the mountain. The camber is almost identical, but there is a difference in flex where the Nordica's are stiffer, but not a big enough difference for it to feel like this.

I am also park expert everywhere, but do not have an answer to your question. I do wonder what would happen if you were to wear one of each ski though

the APO's are rocker flat rocker and the nordica's are full camber that would explain it

It took me a while to figure out how to slide rails with my rockered halos after skiing full camber my whole life. Skis just ride and slide differently.

It sounds like you need to increase your potassium intake before skiing on the APOs. Try eating a banana or an avocado before you advance to the park

My APO's have the same amount of camber as my Nordica's and I have used Volkl's and Armada's, and they have a different feeling from both skis, but my Nordica's are still like magnets to the rail

Have you ever ridden pow skis through the park? I actually like hitting rails better on my Obsetheds (practically no camber) compared to my surface no times (plenty of camber). That also could have something to do with the increased surface area of pow skis on rails....
