Anyone ever rode the 2014 afterbangs? The all green ones. Im wondering because the new 2015 afterbangs look super dope but i want to know how they ski like.
I have the '13s as well, i love them, they did delaminate at the tips after 23 days, however i put some low temp boat epoxy in them and they lasted for 6 more days, they delaminated again... im going to rivet them and then they will be indestructible and i will take over the world....
in short theyre good skis, the '14s will be better, '15s more so. Im looking foward to them as well. Good luck
They are great for what they are made for - rails and butters - if this is all you plan to do, go for it. But if you plan on anything else, you can get much better skis
Afterbangs are heavy, poorly made, and awful for anything outside of the park. You might as well get a ski that is double the price, but will last 5x (at least) than 'Bangs.
i like the afterbangs, i never had any trouble with them, if you look after them correctly they will be fine, yes they're fairly heavy but you're not going to hit 55ft jumps, you're going to buttter over the knuckle and jib the shit out of the rails
They're super fun skis, but the durability is complete crap. My edges began to crack after half a season, even though barely hit rails, and detuned them a lot.
I'd just like to say i love my abangs. Ive had them for almost 4 years and wrecked the hell out of them(skiing on snow, ice, grass, rock, metal, concrete, gravel, stairs, throwing them across the parking lot, everything) and they are still doing fine. as of the last couple times i have lost all the edge in my tips and tails but this makes no difference to how they ride. I ski about 4 times a week and this last year ive smashed the hell out of the skis just to see how durable they are now that ive gotten my money out of them. yes they are pretty rough now but they are great skis
i just retired my 10-11 a-bangs. it was an end of an era because it's a sick ski.. but dont know about the 3D butterzone thingy, might be fun actually! give em a go
