Fixing a de-lamming ski?

What's up guys, i have a question for you all. If you're ski JUST started delaying is there anything you can do to stop it from progressing and keeping your cores dry? could you just re-oppxy and clamp you layers??

dry it out, put a thin layer of epoxy on one of the surfaces (epoxy works best thin). Clamp the shit out of it for like 2 days (needs plenty of time to set). Then put a couple rivets in it if you can, the epoxy will do ok but it will start to delam again if you don't put something solid in there. Good luck!

You can use epoxy and clamp it, but I would recommend 24hr epoxy instead of the 5 min stuff. If you leave the skis out in the sun for a long time and it is warm outside, the epoxy can undo itself.

Where can you get rivets? one toe on my ski is delamming pretty badly and i keep epoxying it but that obviously is just a temp fix, I want to rivet but have no idea what to get or where to get them.

To use rivets you need a rivet gun. So you can either buy one of these http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/stanley-contractor-grade-riveter-0584703p.html#.UxeeD_ldWSo and a pack of rivets like this http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mastercraft-steel-rivets-0584719p.html#.UxeeG_ldWSo

Alternatively if you dont want to buy that, you can use a small bolt or better something called a chicago screw.

That said, using a small bolt is not ideal, the heads extrude and can and will catch on each other once and while when your skis cross (sketchy as fuck). Speaking from experience here.

IMO rivets are best and chicago screws are pretty legit as well.

Go to any hardware store, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace. They should be able to point you to a rivet gun and rivets, they usually aren't that expensive. Hell of a lot less expensive than new skis for sure.
