Kink troubles in park

For the life of me i can not get myself to hit kinks. I used to try them when i sucked at rails and I had some bad bails because of it. Im stuck just hitting the simple features while all of my friends hit the A Frames and down flat downs. I always used to slip out on kinks and now I'm scarred and too fearful to hit them. When i do end up hitting one, what should i think about it coming up to the kink?

Just bend your knees to take the kink and change your balance forward on the downs and more flat on flats
