Skiing in your dreams

About a couple times a month I'll have dreams of skiing in the park at my home resort and for some reason overshoot the shit out of every jump I hit. When I mean overshoot I mean slamming into the lips of the next jumps or just flying insanely high and waking up right before impact.  I've told this to friends of mine and they say they have exactly the same kind of dreams where they will come up to jumps like normal, gain a shit ton of speed right before the lip and overshoot farther than dudemont.

Can anyone relate to this?

I haven't had any big air Dave dreams. But have had dreams where every trick I can do on the trampoline I can suddenly do on skis. Let me just say switch Dspins are really fun.

I have those dreams very seldom, but when I do, the park is fucked up and I usually just do all kinds of futuristic spins on rails (like 3780 on 7020 out). Waking up sucks

My skiing dreams have usually been pretty tight. Usually, i hit a normal sized jump to do a 3 or 5, but somehow in my dream it just turns into 1080s and 1260s and shit.

The best are when i was having lucid dreams, and i was aware that i was dreaming, somewhat able to control what i would do. I did aome sick corks onto a rail one time

used to have nightmare about overshooting.. i would overshoot from the first kicker over all the jump line... terrible.. i blame dumont xD

I'm the complete opposite.

I genuinely ski like Delorme in my dreams and it is SO much fun. Then I wake up and cry because I suck.

I have two kinds of skiing dreams, sometimes I just feel like a retard, unable to control myself and just overshoot everything. Those dreams suck. But sometimes I have these lucid dreams of skiing, where I am fully aware of myself and can stomp everything. They are fucking awesome.

my dreams always end up as me hitting a huge booter and over jumping by about 60 feet to flat or i land on the lip of a different jump

Im either awesome or totally shit in my ski dreams. Usually when I slam, I just get up and carry on like nothing happened. I ski a lot of neck deep pow too.

I've had dreams where I overshoot for days, literally flying between jumps, and suffer no consequences on impact.

Same thing happens to me. Hit a jump then just fly in the air for sooo long before landing.

Whenever I have a ski dream I do ridiculous spins off rails and stomp them, for example I 990 out and stomp the shit out of it. I then wake and realize I can't even 4 out and I cry

When I dream that i'm skiing i'm always really good, not like unrealistically good but i can throw super clean flips and off axis spins and tech rail tricks with ease

it's wonderful, always puts me a good mood when i wake up.

I get quite a lot of skiing dreams like this, but not skiing in the park. I always dream that my town has snowed over and I ski to and from school - but I just boost the smallest of knuckles and trannies and spin-to-win the shit out of them. And it's always like rush hour but everyone is on skis. They're odd dreams but I love them.


Also recently I've been having lots of dreams about cereals - last night was like the third in a row - and I'll wake up, go down to pour myself some breakfast and find that I don't have that cereal in. It's the most soul destroyingly feeling of absolute let down ever.

If anyone can relate to this then I think we might be long lost bros or might just need to see a doctor

I had a dream the other night i was skiing and I wanted to do a little three off a tiny side hit, but i just didn't hit the ground. I ended up doing a 1440 off a three foot side hit.

The skiing nightmare is when you get to the resort but realize you don't have your boots. You go home, get your boots, show up at the resort and realize that you forgot your skis. This happens until the resort closes and you wake up. Why can't I just make skis magically appear

I have dreams were there is like ice rails and ice loop de loop jumps. Its like a freaking jack frost park. But its what I get for living on ice coast.

Yep, Ive definitely had ones like this. I had one where the in-run for a 3 hit jump line got progressively steeper until I was bombing down a 90 degree angle. I hit the first jump, some how landed in the sweet spot, but on the second one I launched like 200ft in the air and woke up an instant before I slammed in the parking lot

I've had dreams where I throw a single then spend so much time in the air that I have debates with myself whether I should go into another or not and end up doing quads on tiny ass jumps. Best dreams ever

i get skiing dreams regularly, normally after talking about it with a friend or watching a ski movie before going to sleep. I never dream about overshooting or falling over, just me with friends in the park (never dreamt of pow although i prefer it to park) throwing insane tricks that i don't do in real life. the funny thing is when i'm in a state of in between sleep and awoken, I see myself throwing dub rodeos and they really look like dub ros (or at least i think they do) but as soon as I wake up, i can't picture myself doing the rotation in my head at all...weird

I did have this dream once where everybody was skiing but me, I was on a snowboard and kept eating shit at every turn, but everyone thought that i was skiing, and I was trying to take the snowboard off, but it would come back and slam ion my feet. Twas really fucked up.

the manifest content or the part of your dream you actually see, is different then what your dreams really mean, so this could mean there is something unrelated to skiing in your life that is affecting you.. or you're afraid of going way to deep on jumps

Every time I have a skiing dream I spin off everything like crazy for some reason. I've never done anything over 540 in real life so whenever I have a skiing dream now, I instantly know it's a dream and enter a lucid state. It's pretty fuckin awesome.
