I once walked into my apt. to find my 3 other roommates curled up in balls on acid watching a live pink floyd concert whilst in complete darkness. Funniest thing I've seen in a while.

^ that whole show is still one of the coolest things aver. The fact that they went there and filmed it, and obviously the fucking music. I just figured I'd link echoes though.



Can't go wrong with a little animals.


Pink floyd is one of those bands that was around long enough that you can actually hear time change throughout the different albums. Also the fact that they hold their relevance to now as much as they did in the past.

I don't want to scroll bomb so I'll keep it short. Those two are some of my favorites that are on youtube.

I wanted to go to live 8 so bad in 05. I was going to sell everything I had (which wasn't much) The whole selling my life and going across the ocean thing at 16 didn't pan out though.

I love music in general and have a lot of favorites for bands, but David Gilmour hits my soul so intensely on some of his guitar work. I know I've come close and probably have cried listing to floyd at different times in my life.

I need to learn how to download music these days and try to get some of my tunes back. It's been years since I've listened to some of the floyd albums.


I'll probably binge youtube now since this thread got me in the zone.

I don't know, I just really like dave's voice and his guitar playing is absolute genius. I do agree, nothin like Dark Side in terms of flow or anything like that.

@division.bell I love you, I love that album, I love pink floyd

@WankerTanker I hear that a lot. Good thing they grew on you. I hear a lot of people that vehemently oppose those albums just on the grounds of no Roger Waters. Fuck 'em

Some of it has a really eerie sound to it.(at least to me) Both the music itself, the sound of the era and time itself, and the fact that it's the end.

I love the Division Bell album, but it's far from my favorite. I have a lot of sentimental attachment to the album in general, but specifically songs as well.

I have a special place in my heart for all of Pink Floyd's albums, but I especially love Animals, Obscured By Clouds, Meddle, and Atom Heart Mother the most, in no particular order.

As Wanker mentioned, David Gilmour's solos and guitar work move me more than any other musician, bar none. He is able to convey more emotions in one note than most musicians can do with 100.

I'll post up some of my favorite tunes a bit later.

just over a year ago I had eaten some brownies and was lying in my bed listening to Dark side of the Moon. My dad loved Pink Floyd and I was really thinking about him throughout listening. when Brain Damage came on (specifically around 1:17) I really started balling, but it was the most amazing cry of my life, I felt like I was cleansing myself of everything. it was probably one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
And this was before I even realized how much more Pink Floyd had to offer, the variety of music they have made throughout their whole career is amazing. So much more amazing music besides the Wall and Dark side. Fuck anybody that doesn't like Pink Floyd.

Dude, I'm pretty sure I've choked up before too at the same point in that song while I was skyrocketed off of hash in High School. I'm sure yours had a lot more meaning to it though.
