Hello NS,

Just wanted to share with you today the introduction of the first ever B&E Inventational at Les Arcs in France this spring. we have named the first 7 invited skiers and will anouncing more over the next couple of months with a total of 20 invited skiers.

the event will be live online as well for everyone.

Am I the only one who was a bit disappointed by the event? From the hype that the organizers were building, I think turned out pretty crappy... I don't think "The first edition of the B&E Inventational changed the freeski game." like the report says...

A couple of people who were there said that it wasn't very climactic or fun...Sort of an awkward event that never really left the ground...Until I see a rad highlight video or hear otherwise, I can picture it as being kinda dumb. A for effort, though.

Since when does an event really live up to its hype? It was clearly overhyped because thats how this shit works, its not that big of a deal IMO


Stoked to see footage, pretty disappoint they havent released anything yet.

I really want to see some of the full, top-to-bottom lines that people threw down - to me that was the whole appeal of the course they built.

Also sick to see Candide throwing down. This and last year's T-Hall Invitational have such fun looking set-ups.

What drugs is Paul Bergeron on these days? Kid always looks super fucked up haha. Also, that Monster chick in the event video on the left at 2:47 is hot as hell...

The video in general was kinda dumb...I feel like they only showed everyone hitting those two hip features when, If I remember correctly, there was a shit ton of other things they set up. Nothing super crazy or "re-inventing" worthy really...They should post a top-to-bottom run edit with some names on the screen too so we can get a better idea of who did what.

I'm pretty dissapointed, the videos make it look like all people did was hit a small hip and straight slide rails. Compared to the stuff coming out of nine knights it looks lame

You guys don't realize that this comp wasn't supposed to be a "trick innovating comp". As Henrik says, it's solely based on style and flow to see everyone's true style come out on the course, not the tricks that they're doing.

If they wanted people to throw insanely big tricks then they would have just built a big ass jump and had a session just like every other spring comp (Nine knights, JOI, etc...)

candide has such a unique style and its so distinctive. you can tell its him no matter what he's wearing. looked like a nice little session. its the first year. they tested the waters and next year will be bigger for sure if they do it.

I feel like there could have been much more rail carnage considering the riders. Not sure if it was just the edit deciding to focus on big hip hits, riders not really hitting the rails because the crowd liked big air more, or the rails simply werent that trickable in the setup. Either way I hope there's more footage to come that will show the rail features being slayed as well as full runs that include a mix of the two. Honestly my favorite thing from this event so far was B-Dogs full lap in the regular park.......

as the starter for the event (and helped shape some features, including the upper left entry hip) i can honestly say the vibe amongst the riders was all time!! every guy threw down some memorible shit and the contest from a crowd standpoint was epic. there were so many runs during the jam, along with so much footage, its taking a little bit more time to get the real bangin edits out... everyone slayed it and had an amazing time, you will see...

Yeah you guys need to calm your shit. It's been 3 days since the event and you expect everything to be released, edited, mastered, etc... It takes time.

On that note, I really hope we see some more footage of Delorme. He doesn't seem to be in any of the videos put out so far.
