Everyone has a different take on what healthy living is. Some think its living a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle. Some think its getting ripped at the gym and eating protein by the scoopful. Then there are the people who just dont care and eat five pieces of pizza for dinner and wonder why they weigh 500 pounds.
Whats your take on healthy eating and living? How do you or dont you practice it? Do i sound like a high school health video?
The way i try to live healthily is by incorporating local non mass produced meats and veggies into my meals, making sure that my meals are balanced, not smoking, and excercising...enough.
I consume a ton of protein, a lot of starchy carbs mainly around my workouts, a ton of veggies, some fruit, a whole bunch of "good" fats, and almost no "bad" fats. I only drink water, have whole milk with my protein shakes, and only have soda as a mixer.
I lift weights 4 times per week and mountian bike 2 times per week. I binge drink on average once a week.
I also have zero qualms about eating like shit, and generally treating my body like hell for a short (week or so)period of time as long as it is an outlier in the general sheme of things. when you are young and healthy you can push your body, and you should...imo.
I would love to eat free range, all natural, local and organic but the amount of food that i consume daily makes it totally cost-prohibitive.
Its better to burn out
than to fade away
my my, hey hey
I practice healthy living by always incorporating the four main food groups into every meal, which are: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup. I also try to have intercourse with cambodian hookers frequently, and I always make sure to get my daily intake of cocaine along with a multivitamin. It's tough, but I manage
"I'd really like to get my name out so I can piss on 13 year old girls and get away with it, do a shit load of heroin, autograph boobs without it being harassment and then finally blow my brains out when the fame gets to me."
"i was going to post something demeaning and funny about the op, but then i saw that TechnoPotamus did so now i find it unnecessary."
"Professor Potamus has a PhD in Newschoolers."
Dude I've peeled more thongs out of asscracks than you've probably jerked off in your lifetime. This is complete bullshit, stop spreading horrible granny panty propaganda already, you're making yourself look like a goddam vagina gaper - Huck_Norris
Good foods first! I limit processed foods in my diet, and have been substituting more and more organic and local foods. I have a protein goal that I shoot for each day, as I do go to the gym on the regular. This includes protein shakes, balanced more with natural protein sources. I also take vitamins each day- a multi and straight Vitamin C. Pairing this with exercise- gym, climbing, hiking, and skiing of course.
The biggest thing for me is really making that balance of food intake and exercise
Steel cut oats and protein shake for breakfast, workout before work, snack on dried cranberries, almonds, etc...eat dinner. The key is not missing lunch, but replacing it by snacking all day, keeping your metabolism piqued all day, and then eating dinner as the other meal.
If I'm out drinking, this all goes to hell.
Talk about a hard challenge right there. ... If you ever tried to ski when youíre wasted, itís not easy.
