Well i can honestly say, this is the first call of duty that ive actually been disappointed with after the first day of playing it... Where do I start? First thing i noticed was that they removed demolition, not sure what they were thinking on that one, that game mode was my shit, by far my most played mode. Second, This whole point system and choosing your fighter shit is lame as fuck, they shouldve stuck with the classic create a class system theyve been using for years.. Third, these maps are huge.. Way too big for just 6 on 6 matches. These are just a few of the things that i can't stand right off the bat about this CoD, usually it takes me a couple weeks to realize what i hate about a game, but this time it only took about an hour. I think that so far this could be the worst CoD game I have ever played. Seriously considering returning it to Best Buy before the thirty days or whatever their return policy is, runs out. Well, thats my rant, curious to see what others think about the game.
You'll get used to the maps. On the really big ones, snipe with any bolt action sniper, I use the USR, use the chrome barrel and infared sight.
Every other map use the AK-12 with grip and silencer.
Don't worry about any sidearms, I use an ied for lethals because grenades get me in trouble. You'll come to really like the bigger maps, especially the castle ruins one.
Also, the way I understand it is that you level up 1 character to 60, then you unlock the next one, there is no longer any "prestige mode" per say. Although your icons do change. Give it a little time, you'll learn to like the game.
I mean unless they plan on adding demolition, which it doesnt seem like they will, i really wont play it much, ill probably just stick with black ops 2 till next years comes out. I totally get what you are saying there is definitely an appeal to having certain maps that are very large, but almost every map is just too big for 12 players, They essentially made every map a sniper map, and i don't like it. Don't get me wrong i enjoy to snipe but not on every single map. i will probably give it one more solid day, and if i still feel the same way im going to return it.
You don't have to snipe on every map. I felt the same way at first, but there are a lot of ways to use the AK-12 all over the place. I find it best sticking to the sides of the maps. Also, you are playing with people who have had the game for over a week now, and you are just learning things. Once you get a feel for the maps, it'll be a lot more enjoyable
I agree with you on that, if i were to continue to play it, it would probably grow on me, but the fact that i'm so bummed about it on the first day of buying it, is a pretty clear sign for me.
that was certainly a high point of the franchise, i definitely liked black ops 2 a lot too, other than the knifing in it, not sure what was up with that.
agreed. mw3 and original black ops was a pretty good game too. everything after that, 3arc or iw just really tried too hard and repeated another bad game. one of the reasons i switched to pc was because all i played was cod and i realized it was a trash game with a cancer-ridden player base of toxic assholes
I say CoD peaked at CoD 4: MW, ah those carefree teenage years when I was neigh on unstoppable with the M16 and Stopping power and playing all night long...
Now I can't even remember when I last turned on my Xbox...
