I just picked up the Freeskier Resort Guide and in it there was an interview with Charlie and he said that he has had to many injuries and is not skiing urban anymore. I dont know if he was just being sarcastic or what but I always thought he was a insane urban skier and had one of the best segments in the eighty six and mutiny.
uhh, i have the magazine in front of me. he says he enjoys hitting big mountain more and would like to make that transition in the future, hopefully with stept, but he wont be riding urban his whole career. he's not exactly completely abandoning urban
"I think safety meetings should be mandatory, as skiing the park can get a bit dangerous some times. Just mellow out with a saftey meeting and everything will be safe and smooth." -John Ware
Sorry I don't want to see another skier die, I can remember the exact second I found out about CRJ and Sarah's deaths and how heart broken I was to hear about 2 of the people I have looked up to my entire life's deaths
......... and remember to afterbang.... even if you fall!
snowboarders are more rebellious then you will ever strive to be- spork.
I think that Schlopy was sent from the future by Newschoolers version 16.7, which has gained consciousness and decided to destroy skiing's past in order to win the style vs. Tech argument in the future.
and so ends the urban lifestyle of Charlie Owens. He will now make use of his pitiful 401(k) and live a sedentary life, debating which type of tofu tastes the least awful with the whole foods hippie crowd.
Sarah and CR were both wearing helmets when they had their accidents. Wearing a helmet isn't a guarantee in anyway. It definitely helps protect your head. It would be stupid to argue otherwise. But it's even more stupid to try and force people to wear helmets like it's the answer to all head injuries. Let people do what they want to do. Stop being so soft.
While I understand your point, and have nothing against helmets, I would like to point out that both of them were wearing helmets at the time of their accidents. Again, not disagreeing with you, just saying those are bad examples for your cause.
Skiierman is a cash-rabid cyborg forged in the fires of Mt. Doom and hell-bent on destroying the human race
pros follow skiierman around
if skiierman likes it, you know it's good. it's like a seal of approval that everyone wants.
if skierman dosent know him then he cant be that famous
Skiierman's dirty little secret is that he is the iota of truth.
I don't blame anyone for not wanting to do urban. Even failing on the most basic rail is extremely painful. The Stept crew is actually putting their health at risk, not that BC isn't, but the bails in urban are so unforgiving.
