For an average park skier(by average I mean no preference rail vs jump) are they better than, say, FR's on rails? jumps? My understanding is that full camber gives you more pop, but is harder to butter since you have more edge on the snow?
My preference is for something with camber and just early rise such as the atomic infamous. I mainly ride fully camber park skis as the pop is much better and they are way more stable at speed. Rockered park skis can be fun be dont usually offer as much stability. I do like early rise though as it just loosens up the tip and tail slightly but keeps all the benefits of a full camber ski.
How do east coasters feel about rockered park skis on Ice and other shit snow? I've been long debating myself between full cambered noodles or rocker/camber. Also I need a sintered base cause my current ones are slow as shit.
I use a 189 k2 kungfujas that have slight tip and tail rocker. I think the rocker is awesome when the snow is soft or slush. But when its hardpack and I'm flat on the base and not on edge, the skis get really loose. To me, as a eastern skier, that's really been the only downside to rocker.
