How many corks could be done?
How much air time?

In all seriousness at the speed that those people fly through the air if they landed sideways or couldn't get a flip around they would get seriously fucked up.

Since ski jumpers have speed suits and they get lift from body position, even dale talkington would be lucky to clear the knuckle.

I was talking about the initial knuckle, but most likely you would clear but you would not go anywhere close to as deep. unless you do an edollo nosebutter.

They did it in the opening scene of supervention. They had to go all the way from the top to clear the knuckle. I belive they said they did 180's there aswell. (To those of you wondering, they used the speed they got to hit a massive urban setup further down)

The only reason they go that far is because they are literally gliding down to a touch, if you tried to traditionally jump that you wouldn't go nearly as far.

You would probably go a little bit less distance about 40 feet higher and then land on flat ground on the backside of the next resort

I think an ariels jump would be better for future spins. Maybe in the future pros will have coaches yelling at them off the lip so they know if they're going to come up short on their quintuple rodeo 1800

Yeah, it isn't doable like you think at all, it's more similar to a cliff than a jump, maybe get a 3 but no big spins. The reason the ski jumpers can go so big is cause they are haulin ridiculous ass into those things wearing speed suits then they use the lift to make the distance. You just can't go that fast on skis shorter than 250s...

And, if you did strap some massive planks on a freeskier, put them in a speed suit and send them at it, would you really think it would be a good idea to try to spin? You're off by a tiny bit, that's it. Season over. Just doesn't seem worth it.

You're bombing down a slope at a billion miles an hour then launching out from basically flat. Not really a good jump for doing anything trick wise on.

No lip to help you initiate any inversions. If you managed to get something wild around and not die it would probably look terribly hucked. You could do a front or backflip as long as you're able to clear the knuckle.

There's a reason jumps are built like this

If you notice those guys simply lean into it to initiate the flip then start the twist side to side.

I'm not saying you couldn't do some tricks on a ski jump, it just wouldn't be a good jump for it.

Have you seen the Supervention? There you can see, how it looks like, when a ,,freeskier,, hits it. It´s even difficult to made it to the steeper part of the landing.

in supervention they tried ski jumping with park skis, they barely made the landing so I don't think you could do anything.

im pretty sure compton did a 3 on the small one at our school like 8 years ago. mind you take off to the bottom of the landing was only like 80 or 90 feet
