my 2 cents about emo.

1. emo kids don't slit their wrists. they play guitar.
2. emo kids get girls. you don't
3. emo is good music.
4. boys can't cry.
5. the cool emo kids are the ones that wear white collared shirts and band tshirts, not the grubby ones (like the one in the people section of pictures).
6. emo doesn't make you sad. your pathetic life does.
7. emo does not involve whining. you just think it does.
8. emo is only made fun of because people are afraid to make fun of rap (gangstas are mad scary...but i ain't never scared)
9. emo people are witty.
10. emo is better than you.

what the fuck are you talking about. emo has spent ZERO time in the media. i started listening to it because my cousin gave me a dashboard confessional cd. i liked it so i started listening to more. ever think there might be more people like me?

The emo-kids at my school, be different, just to be different. They all roll in the same crowd, and do some pretty stupid shit. The other day in the lunch line, one of them gently squeezed both my asscheeks, and they all thought it was great..it was stupid.

Emo music is not that great to listen to. I'm not a fan of listening to people bitch about problems while acting senstive with light guitar in the background (more extreme of emo).
Some emo is alright, some is good..but I'm not a fan of DB and shit like that. There sound isn't that great.

Onto other things..over grown bangs with the sides cut off? Has this become sort of a rule of thumb with emo kids? At least 5 emo-kids at my school do this.

Emo guys get other emo girls. 90% of emo girls (at least at my school), are butt-ass ugly. So if you are trying to say they are pulling hot ass, I'm not quite sure they are.

Last off..saying that emo is better than all of us, must be some sort of a joke. I don't think anyone can get off saying that any type of music is better than a person. That was probably the stupidest thing you managed to say in your 'emo-list'.

Sorry Alex..just had to say it all. I dont think this post was that great..I don't agree with most of the shit on that list, frankly.

I do however, like some Screamo. Its a branch of emo, but I think its way better.

^Agreed. I like screamo.

Anyone notice that emo and country music have pretty much the same lyrics, except emos use more proper English versus hick and they have a different tune and whatnot.

emo is fine in small quantities, but sometimes it gets on my nerves

depending on my mood, you might get a nice thoughtful responce that might make sense, or you might get complete jibberish that is not wise to even read. good luck

the term 'Emo-Kid' is a stereotype alex. If you are saying that the kids who happen to listen to emo music around you, dont dress all different just to be different, and so said things that I posted before, then there isn't any bitching to be made, and you shouldn't have this list to complain. You obviuosly dont have to see 50 stereotypical wierd-ass emo kids everyday.

^but if they all try to 'non conform' (which they all do) they are conforming under the illusion that they are individualists. I find it funny every emo kid i talk to speaks of these 'poser emo' that have the stereotypical look that most of us see. do they not realize they look the same way? But of course, to them they arent the 'poser emo' thats follows trends. Every single emo band ive heard ive hated.

90% of the music i listen to is emo but i dont have plugs, or tattoos, studded belts, and i have one band shirt to my name that of which is 'brand new' and i hardly wear it. I wear ski gear and preppy clothes in an emo like fashion..i shall call it..skemo

at my school, like 30 weird kids (emo i think) just stand around in the front hall. they sit there yelling and shit until the bell. same with after school. most of htem have black clothes and tight shit. they all have those stupid studded belts. i dont know why they would dress in tight clothes like that, but thats just me (i like baggier shit, stuff that fits is good too....) i dont like some of the music htats just about problems and whiny shit, but i dont listen to it, so i dont konw. i just hate those damn kids that ylel and scream in the hallways. stupid bitches.

And if that doesn't work, and they are still screaming and shit, yell out, 'Would you emo fucks shut the hell up already!' And just walk away.
