theabortionatorCrew of mini racers and their coach came through the park. They were rolling the big jumps and side jumping the rails. I yelled at them on the second lap and race coach chick flipped out on me and told me they could do whatever they wanted and that I had no right to tell them what to do. Also that she was going to talk to management and start a whole shit storm.
Not why I left but thank jebus I don't work at gore mountain anymore.
For best experience with racers.
Worked 5 or 6 days a week in the park at west. At the start of the highschool races the one season they needed some help setting up. Ended up helping them and they needed somebody to run the start gate. Ended up rocking that out 1 day a week for most of a season. Also a lot of kids did both park and racing.
I think it really comes down to how their coaches are and how their parents are. The ones at gore mostly came from well off families and the coaches told them they were the shit, and that they owned that mountain. And the mountain kind of reinforced that idea. A lot of those kids were assholes. At west everything was laid back and the kids were much cooler. That said there's cool people and shitty people in any group.
Maybe I'm just not around the shitty people anymore but it seems like the vibes have gotten better all around. Maybe it's because the park kids are considered terrible people as much anymore. Idk.
Let's just all be friends
