Women Park Ski

I'm trying to look for a nice women park ski that is super lightweight and durable. I want to be able to use it not only in the park, but maybe on some black diamond runs around the mountain. I'm thinking about buying the 2013 Line Shadows but wasn't sure. Anyone know what skis to purchase?

If you are really set on a women's park ski the Armada ARW seems to be the most popular. Personally I'm fond of the Atomic punx for park.

If you want something more all mountain capable but still good in the park I would look at the K2 Remedy (Misbehaved last year) or you could just get the men's version since they are the same, the K2 Shredditor/Kung Fujas. They are 102 underfoot and they are solid in the park as well as all over the mountain.

I'm also a huge fan of the K2 Recoil if you want something more jump oriented and narrower underfoot 90 instead of 102. More camber and a bit more poppy than the Fujas, plus the 2014 has a sweet looking graphic.

Don't let gender labels determine your ski pick, plenty of girls are shredding on "men's skis."

I have some lightly used ARWs that I need to sell. Barely used by my wife before she wrecked her knee in 2012. They are mounted with Rossignol Sapir bindings that match the skis. If anyone is interested I can meet up to show them to you in the Salem Oregon area or at Mt. Hood. I'll probably be at Timberline Saturday. $200 obo.

By all means don't limit yourself to girls' skis, but sometimes you can get a better deal on them than the guy's equivalent because they are harder to sell. The Shadow's are primarily a cheap beginner's park ski, but there are some solid women-specific options out there. For example I noticed these today while browsing:

It's definitely true you can find women's gear for cheaper in general, but that seems to be true for smaller sized men's gear as well. For example EVO had recoils on sale last spring for $170. Only catch was that they only had 159 and 164's. Perfect size for smaller lighter women though.
