This, or if you want to insure that you will do no harm to your edge, just take a gummy stone and go after it, it will take a long ass time but it might be better for your edges.
Ya, and you want to do that up down motion like you would be sharpening a knife with a file, but with a bum my stone you can go as hard as you want. The reason o use caution with a file as that it can take of so much edge, that you won't ever be able to replace.
