Just used my new boots for the first time on the slopes this past weekend. I was just miserable, it was hurting my foot so bad that I couldn't ski for a while. And had to unbuckle bottom buckle on the shin area to even be able to ski. I have wide ass feet and the local shop told me the Salomon Performa 8.0 was pretty much the widest boots they had. I really don't think I could ski in these boots at all. I was wondering if I could return them for some other boots or perhaps even a bigger size. I don't know what to do, except that I can't ski in these stupid azz boots.
i don't really have too much info about your foot shape, but you might try a footbed with better arch support. it'll keep your foot from spreading out so much. personally i'd take it back into them and make them fit it properly. check out the technica rival X7 hvl, it's pretty wide too. good luck
Go to a Surefoot and ask them. There is nobody better with boots. And ask about having them foam filled (or something like that/wasn't paying attention when guy was talking) to really give a snug fit. The guys in Park City said they do that to Tanner's boots. Or to at least one pair he had of Rossi Softs.
Just got back from the shop, they try to fix my boot my putting shiz on my lining and just told them to fuk it and get me a bigger boot. So I got last year's 1080 for the same price. Is the last year 1080 greenish clear boot??? Whats the diff. b/t reg 1080 and pro model 1080???
yup it is wide and comfy but the last size they had was a 28 and i got fitted for a 27. Theres quiet a bit of space, I actually wanted 27.5 but watever long as it doesn't hurt my foot and i don't think i'll lose that much performance long as i tighten them up securely.
