Smoking weed before a comp?

Pretty much title ^ from everything I've heard it sounds like it really brings down anxiety but will it fuck with me at all and bring my skill down any first hand experience let me know.

Depends what kind of comp?


Big mtn comps, smoking a bowl, slugging a beer and taking a shot of fireball is usually a must before you shred your run.

If you answers were:
1 Everyday,
2 Yes,
3 Yes,
4 Extremely confident and much better at skiing

Then feel free to get high as fuck before your comp! otherwise, its probably a bad call.

If the judges see you getting too steezy they will know you are high, and doc you points and tell your parents.

i smoke weed and skate and ski a fair amount it just takes a little while to coordinate your balance to certain things again. I read a book on how we focus and basically skiing is something that doesnt require effort to focus on unlike math homework where you have to block out distractions (dont smoke weed and do math homework you end up right here)

adderal is fucking terrible for you. haha but i have to admit your kind of right. amphetamines, and maybe mdma are the only drugs that i feel can actually improve your skiing. you cant take too much, because then your head gets cloudy, but just a little bit gives you that extra bit of focus energy and confidence

Just sack up to the nerves and do the comp, then lay back and put it in the air. Much more gratifying.
But if you must smoke just a hit or two of the good good should suffice.

i toke and ski quite a bit. i kinda like it for just flowing around the park and doing tricks i already now. if im gunna try something new i do it sober. or stoned... it depends on the day
