How do you true flatspin

I have been trying to get a true flat for months anyone have any tips?

buy all of Toms Pro Model Gear, than put all the pieces on your body, do a rain dance, bounce on a trampoline, scream "Ready Steady Spaghetti" than magically Jon Brogan will come down from the heavens and slowly guide you through what it takes to do a flat spin, this only happens every solar eclipse, so make your timing perfect, oh and by the way, make sure all your clothes are 4xl and nothing fits correctly.

But seriously, think of it as kind of a rodeo with a Lincoln loop, you throw your arm under behind your knee and back over your shoulder.... Just check the trick thread, I suck at explaining stuff haha

Backflip.

If you're spinning left, backflip grab japan left foot with right hand. if right, vice versa.

Push your hips out and up in line with the japan, if that makes sense.

It worked for me.

Try and focus on swinging your arm more sideways... Thats how i do them at least. helps if you carve into them on at least a meduim sized jump.

I think he said true flat not a wackflip. Most people do flatspins terribly to do a true flat you have to spin/flip with your body parallell to the ground never going invertd

From what I've seen, nobody does "true" flat spins without carving into the inrun

My bad. It is possible to start with the way I learned and bring it to true flat though. Just more spin less flip and bit of practice.

it takes a little getting used to but, you set yourself up feet shoulder width apart and back lip, but when you huck it, throw over your dominant shoulder (spin left, left shoulder vice versa) and commit, it should come right around

I didn't understand the rotation when I first tried, but I got some good advice from some members on here.

They told me that once you first practice them, think of it as the same rotation as a backflip, but just a bit off axis. So, in a backflip, you throw both shoulders back In a flatspin, try throwing one shoulder back while throwing the other forward. In essence, it is not a true flatspin (in my case because I was inverted), but it helped me out.

Before, I would throw it too horizontally, and it just didn't work. I eventually got them at the end of last year, but I still took a couple of hits first.
