I'm looking for a new pair of bindings to slap on my Bacons which I got at the end of last season. I'm 5'7, 170 lbs, din is set at 8. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Axial2 120s since I can get a pair for $110? Was originally looking at Pivots but I can't really justify the extra cost.
Toe is the same as pivots. Heel is fixed obviously instead of pivoting, meaning the binding is less elastic (less travel with your boot on impacts) but still a very solid binding.
The biggest complaint you will hear about pivots I think is that the heel mount pattern is long, so you get a bit of a dead spot under your heel, whereas the pivot has a much smaller footprint on your ski.
Other than that, solid durable binding for sure.

They will do great for you.
