STS9 or Lotus live on the rocks

basically looking to go to one show this fall at red rocks due to budget

both cost the same

STS9 with decent openers

or

Breakscience, Minnesota, boombox, and Lotus

Who's seen either/both live? looking to find out which experience would be more worth the money

small shows are better, save your money and go to like 5 small shows instead of one inanely expensive red rocks show.

Im more about the smaller indoor venues during the winter, red rocks is worth it enough (already have a grizmatik ticket on halloween at the first bank center)

Small shows are dope, but Lotus and Sound Tribe dont' play small shows anymore. Plus, Red Rocks is better than any venue in the Denver area besides Mishawaka or State Bridge which are also outdoor venues.




I've seen both multiple times. Go see Lotus with out a doubt. They put on such a better live show. Especially nowadays. 4 years ago, I'd say it's a toss up between he two, but Lotus kills it now compared to Tribe. Plus, Boombox puts on a great show too.

Also, I saw STS9 last year at Red Rocks and it was the same exact show I saw them play the year before there. Lotus plays different shows and never "presses play", unlike Tribe.

Don't get me wrong, I like Tribe. They've jsut changed too much for me to continue to consider them on the same level as Lotus now.

it'll be a sick party, and gramatik's sick, but it was literally exactly his album and the guitarist was really uninspiring...if i wasn't as sober it probably would've been great, though, so enjoy it!

I'd see Lotus. tribe is sick, but lotus is way more musically talented--they can shred it and make you really feel their passion; whereas tribe is just a sound machine, albeit a talented one, but it's different. plus, boombox plays a sick show and, though I haven't seen him live, i love minnesota's stuff--truly sounds his own and I'd hope he spices it up a bit live, but who knows.

super psyched to hopefully be seeing lotus in October!

GRiZ alone is my favorite modern producer, seriously he lays that sax down live and it's unreal. grizmatik is one of the sickest shows around if anyone hasn't seen them.

Usually go to tribe every year at red rocks, always super sick. Would highly recommend it!! lotus at red rocks is also really cool and a great show as well, either way you cant really go wrong!
