Salomon Performa 7.0
Ok, I picked up a pair of these, last years model for a sweet price. And the guy i was talking to said they had a custom fit liner or something. He also said i should put a hairdryer down there for like 10 mins then wear them around to mold them to my feet. I was wondering if this is a good way to do that and if it actually works.
When i got my boots they had a heat mold thing too. Just make sure if u heat it up or w/e that u don't walk around in them; stay sitting. If u walk, it will compress the part underfoot. U can see how that would be bad: no cushion afterwards. That's all i have for u, i don't know how hot they need to get or if a hairdryer would work. In shops they have a special heater.
WTF IS THAT THING THAT JUST KEPT ME FROM POSTING CAUSE I 'MADE A POST 20 SECS AGO'???
anyways, my boots came w/ the heat mold thing too. Just make sure that when u do it u don't walk around. You need to do it sitting, otherwise, the foam will compress underfoot and it's obvious why that wouldn't be good. I know they have special things for doing it at shops, idk if a hairdryer gets hot enough, but if that's what the tech told u go for it
ok, that was gay
it told me it didn't post that first one cause i made a post early that 20 seconds before.... which i didn't think i did.... yet it posted it anyway? wtf? i had to write that whole friggin thing twice...
don't use a blowdryer for salomon ! the heat is going to be too strong. The salomon heater heats for 15 but doesn't heat as hot as a blowdryer. if they are comfortable, just ski with them, the fit will be way better. if you def. want them molded, go to any shop that sells salomon boots and they should have a Salomon heater
the place where i bought mine they had a personal boot heater, it works so good they heated them for a few minutes and then i walked around the store for 10 minutes and my foot was sooo comfortable, but after 2 years my foot has grown and i need to reheat it
i used a blow dryer on my easy move 12's and it worked fine, plus its an excuse to wear your ski boots aroudn the house.
