Nikola Tesla's genius is paralleled only by DaVinci's IMO. Both mens' minds worked in ways only far more advanced civilizations would even begin to understand. I feel like Tesla was absolutely ahead of where we are now, its just that the world simply lacked a vehicle for his genius to be properly expressed. If he was in his prime now I feel like he would still blow our minds and show us the next level.
Such amazing stuff.

I was too lazy to read the whole thing, but does it say how many people on of the pods could hold? Cuz in the picture it looks like about 6. And that doesnt seem like that would be very effective, even with the 70 (I think) pods planned

WNBA is a weird league containing hybrid man-women. its tight
It sounds amazing. I'm LMAO because I have been jokingly suggesting this to Vail Resorts for years as a way of getting kids to the bottom of the chairlift. I was suggesting stuffing ski school kids into a vacuum tube like what they have at drive up banking windows.
I'm with you. Hope someone can pull this off. Denver to Orlando in less than 2 hours. Wonder what it would be like to break the sound barrier inside a tube.

It said once you break the 1000 mile mark, the costs vastly out weigh the benefits. Still cool non the less.
The magnetic trains in Japan travel at 300 mph and is ultra smooth. The train can go faster but wind resistance begins to become a massive issue at those speeds. I saw a video of one traveling 500mph + on a test track.
THANK YOU. Everybody seems to be missing this crucial aspect. Elon isn't going to make this. He's pissed at himself for even mentioning the idea in the first place. BUT, he decided to come out with basic open-source drafts in hopes that people will take the design and make it feasible.
And this tube WOULD NOT get you from LA to SF in 30 min. Elon said that saying that it could do that was shooting himself in the foot. I don't understand that though, because it should hypothetically be able to do that if it goes twice the speed of the distance between the two locations.
Incredibly cool shit regardless.
