It's crazy how much of a following Wicked got over the years. When it came out like four people watched it. Then word got around that it was good, and maybe some of the more hardcore NS-focused freeskiers saw it (which at the time was not a particularly large subset of the skiing world). Now it seems like it's in the pantheon of all-time ski flicks. Crazy how that happens.
Well the anticipation was probably mostly from the east coast set. Maybe SAS was bigger outside of that I don't know. But that flick was well ahead of it's time, as was the site (pre-Youtube video hosting). Anyone remember the Wicked premiere in NH, 2004? Neil had stayed up for like 3 days prior trying to finish his masterpiece.
