So three kids out of thirty are getting laid at the end of the night? SOO FUNN DOOOOD. You're a fucking idiot if you think 10-1 dudes to chicks is an acceptable ratio, and also these dudes are not your age, so that point is completely invalid.
Nothing wrong with drinking with your friends, I highly doubt you get laid every night you go out either. I have a couple friends who slay and they don't even get laid every night. Sometimes just hangin out with your friends is legit. Sure, a girl can be your friend too but then you're probably not going to sex her (unless shes some friends with benefits kinda girl, but then shes not just your friend, etc)
No where did i ever say that i get laid every time i go out haha, and if i had it would've been a blatant lie. I have friends that i have hooked up with in the past and now we are just friends, and i find i usually end up befriending a chick before i hook up with her anyways, sex is just sex. Obviously not all girls are this way, there are certainly chicks that as soon as you fuck them they either want a relationship or to never talk to you again, so i see what you are saying.
I don't even follow the skiing scene, but it's pretty clear that "Hood Crew" is a fucking huge joke. Not the funny kind either. Like, the really, really sad kind. The kind where it's a bunch of loser kids who think they're cool because they "just don't care and do what they want," but really they care SO much about what everyone things that they try extra hard to make it seem like they're not trying at all. I can't even name a single skier in this so-called crew, but I hope they all get on a bus together (I'm assuming they can't afford cars...wait, that's just their "lifestyle," bro), and the driver blacks out and drives into an active volcano full of lava sharks.
PS - fuck you, SciFi Channel. If I see a movie called Lava Shark in the near future, I'm suing you for theft of my intellectual property.
When I first read the description for the "Mutiny" trailer, I first thought "oh great, more complaints about injuries." After watching the trailer I was blown away by the intensity of the shots/overall vibe. From both a riding and cinematographic standpoint, Stept is on an entirely different level than basically any other crew in skiing right now. They know how to make actual films, not just long edits, so I'll wait till I see the actual film before I make any accusations about "taking skiing too seriously." Stept is progressing the sport in a great way right now, and I respect that.
In my opinion, the hood crew callout was lame. Hood crew has a few skiers that go pretty hard, but overall, that crew cannot touch Stept from a riding standpoint, and they absolutely don't even nip at the heels of Stept's production value. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, hood crew clearly doesn't care about the aesthetic value of their edit's and movies, they are just having fun with their friends and filming what they do.
On the other hand, with Mutiny, Stept seems to be trying to display the best skiing and cinematography possible, while weaving it together in a story at the same time.
So here we have two different crews with two different goals, which in my opinion makes comparing them pointless.
Variety in skiing is good, I would sure rather have a spectrum of different kinds of crews/movies in skiing than the same cookie cutter movie/crew we are used to seeing.
Since when did skill level on skis have to do with level of intelligence?
I thought their short film was sick but I also think that FB post, whichever one of them made it and then took it down, made em look like fucking idiots... but it's skiing so I don't really give a fuck as long as they keep logging bangers.
hood crew is certainly dope, but stept just doesn't roll the same way as them. it's lame as shit to call stept out for bringing variety to the industry...
The whole idea of not giving a fuck really means not giving a fuck. By them caring about what direction stept is going contradicts their whole little "fuck the world, smoke weed and listen to mac dre even though we are scared white boys from oregon" mentality they have.
