New Video - Andy at Windells

Hey guys whats up,

recently I made an edit "hood extras" and this video of andy was one of the reasons i was in hood and got "extras" ha. I did the crop again for this video, since alot of the shots are the same angles as that other edit, they suited well to the crop since they're mostly tripod shots.

I went a different direction with this edit vs HE, little bit more mellow song, slightly different color and stuck with basic audio stuff. let me know what you guys think!

personally, the whole edit was too predictable. You have a shot from above the jump/rail, then cut to a shot below, and most of the time it's cut awkwardly. This mixed with your editing style just bored me. Also, I can't be the only one that thinks it's annoying that you have a beginning bumper and ending bumper to every video you make.

Word, I liked the cut, it was different than most things I do. Sorry it was boring to you :(

As for bumpers, I need a new one for sure but it's all I have for now. It's a "branding" thing and saga obviously wants me to do the same thing too. If you don't like it, im sorry but im not gonna take out the one thing that identifies my edit, especially when someone else IE saga uploads my video.

I liked it. As for the bumper, I like knowing who makes an edit, especially if its a company that's posting it, so leave them.

But holy shit, style-wise, he is a mini Tom Wallisch. Don't know about his bag of tricks, but definitely resembles Wallisch.

I really liked your colors, too.

At first I really didn't like it and found it boring, but after a second watch I'm liking it a lot more. There's variety in your shots and, for the most part, your cuts really play well with the snare in the song--it really makes it all kinda pop. I really like the minimalist simplicity of it, especially how the sound of the skiing mixes really well with the silent spots in the song. it really lets the skiing speak for itself.

I think it'd be cool if there were some followcams, but it's pretty shweet overall.

Couldnt agree more. First time i watched i did not dig it. But second watch i loved it. I think the audio could have been a little louder though. I liked the no follow cam thing nice to see some tripod work out of you! good job!

Thanks man, I was stoked on the color too, little flatter and warm than I normally do.

I really like the beauty of simplicity, its super hard to master and im flattered that you would describe the video as "minimalist" and "simplicity" so thanks man!

As for follows, yeah maybe on the jump line but other than that, we were hiking all the rails and the bigger jump was like a 15min lap on palmer, it was better for me to chill (got to film other homies, which was nice). I like making an edit without my glidecam too because i do it way too much in the winter haha.

I watched the first minute or so and automatically thought that I didn't like the song, and that it was getting boring. I just feel like it was too slow or something, and the song just didn't click with the edit.

But the cinematography was great.
